check timing belt, sounds to me like it may be broken
i would defiantly start by changing the fuel filter
went out today in my 56 plate tranny no probs stopped at shop then wouldnt start not even turning over had to be towed home help whats wrong ?
Maybe you need a jump start
because your valve cover gasket has failed, time to replace it, if you don't engine will start running rough and will eventually short out coil.
yes...who wouldnt?
get a woman to start it up for you ;) i really dont think you should be putting this question in cars... lol
ask the main dealer it could be lots of things you could check the fuses first
ok, you will need a few items. List of materials: White paint paint brush a sportage a friend with a drivers liscense stopwatch First use the white paint to make a start and finish line where ever you want to do the timing. Second, get your friend to drive the sportage up to the start line. once your friend is at the start line say "GO" and simultaniously start your stop watch. When your friend crosses the finish line press stop on your stop watch. record the time on the stop watch as your "sportage time"
I have never heard of a cam belt. I have a 2000 Kia Sportage and the timing belt went out while I was driving. The engine stopped running, and I tried to start it back and it would not start. The engine would turn over and over but would not start. Found out after a four hundred dollar fuel pump it was a broke timing belt. these engines are contact / so when a timing belt breakes you ben the valves resulting in no compresion so the engine will not start until you replace all the valves and belt with setting up the timing
purchase a volt meter and start troubleshooting.
