Either your engine coolant temperature is too high , your oil pressure too low , or your gas gauge is near or at empty
how do you replace the fog light bulb on a 2003 ford explorer.
My 2005 will do that if the gas cap was not secured tightly.
I had the same problem on my 2002 Ford Explorer, after I replaced the gas cap the light turned off
its orange and it is located on the right side of the gauge cluster
Im guessing there is something wrong with your car!

First check the fuse for the 2003 Cavalier gauge. Next check the fuel sending unit in the fuel tank to insure that its working properly. Check the gauge next, then the wiring for the system. One of these units is causing your gauge to not work.
Your alternator or drive belt is going.
A check engine light informs you that there is something wrong with the engine. After you run a diagnostic test, you will be able to tell what exactly is wrong.
A malfunction has been detected
If your check engine light stays on , a malfunction has been detected with the emission control system . You need to have the Explorer scanned for any trouble codes to diagnose and then repair the malfunction
First check fuel pressure with a gauge. There is a valve on fuel rail. If check engine light is on have codes read since engine is managed by many sensors. Start there.
