When the red sleeve shows in the window, the air filter is clogged. the indicator is connected to the engine side of the air filter, and the increase in vaccum causes the indicator to trip. It can be reset by pushing in the button on the end.

They do not tell you in the manual how to change the filter. They want you to take it to a dealer
Use a quality oil and filter of the correct weight as outlined in your owner's manual. Change your oil/filter as recommended in your owner's manual. Also change your air filter at least every 30,000 miles.

You do not wait for some symptoms. You change the filter at regular scheduled intervals as listed in your owners manual. Don't have an owners manual then change it every 50,000 miles.

It takes 4.2 quarts with a filter change. The filter holds .6 quart. That is why there is a discrepancy between the manual and the dip stick. If you did not change the filter the oil pan would hold only 3.6 quarts. Bottom line, change the oil & filter and add 4.2 quarts.
It is a cartridge type filter. Open your owners manual and read.

Your owners manual should tell you when the fuel filter should be changed but a good rule of thumb is to change it every other oil change. That's what I do.
Do you mean the cabin air filter? If so it is detailed in the owners manual.
