To replace the shift lever bulb on a 1998 Toyota Corolla, first, remove the shift knob by twisting or pulling it off, depending on the design. Next, carefully pry off the center console cover around the shift lever to access the bulb. Disconnect the old bulb from its socket and replace it with a new one, ensuring it's securely fitted.
