im not sure. I have the same problem.I have a 04 trailboss 330, does the same dam thing, some times i can adjust the chock to help but there is no reason you should have to ride in 80 degree weather with your chock out. If you figure it out please let me know hey i figured out what the problem was i took apart the carb and cleaned with carb spray i dnt know if you have to do that or not but then i notecied the airbox wasnt on completely and after taking it off and putting it back on it ran fine with just little tweaking to the carb try it it might fix ur problem

Replace the cam timing / speed sensor - about $75.
You have bad spark plugs and they need to be changed or there could be a bad vacuum line that needs to be replaced.
My Yamaha Blaster stalls when I engage the throttle, what should I do?
May be a vacuum leak
take negative off battery for 30 minutes and clean the Throttle Body
Try the throttle position sensor
Must be a wallabee in the carbureator.
Most likely a Throttle position sensor
