Try this GM fuel additive from your local dealer first (GMpart#88861011). If that doesn't work, most have found that the level sensor in the tank or even the instrument cluster are bad. Good luck.
The floater inside your pump is sticking. You will have to replace your fuel pump in order to fix this problem.
