coil----3---4 pack---2---6 plug----1---5
i am having same problem on mine same type truck.mine is electronic ignition box.
i believe it is on the forward driver side just in front of the distributor it is not electronic it would be bolted to the block
The spark plug firing order for a Ford straight 6 cylinder is ( 1 - 5 - 3 - 6 - 2 - 4 ) The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces away from the engine
Yes , its EDIS ( Electronic Distributorless Ignition System ) so it should have spark plug wires ( I believe in 2000 the 4.6 L went to Coil On Plug - C.O.P. )
yes it does
where is the fuel pump rely on a 2005 f150 with a 5.4

YES! If you have tried a major tune up to include: spark plugs, distributor cap , rotor, wires, and fuel pump and the truck still idles rough and stalls at stop signs then it is the TFI ignition modual located on the side of the distributor.
Could be the ignition module. It's attached to the side of the distributor.
start with wires
usually if u search the engine size (example my truck has a 300 in it which is a inline6 4.9l in a f150) it will come up with the firing order... just use google or somethn :)
Yes But the 1975 Ford F150 electronic ignition system is unreliable the newer F150 is more reliable and works longer than the 1975 version.
