2006 dodge stratus the crank shaft seal has busted and the crank shaft has a lot of play in it how do you make sure that the dealers dont run you around the engine will need to be replaced?

If the front main seal has popped out, be sure to have them check crankshaft end play. If the end play is out of specs, the thrust bearing, crank, and possible the block are failed.
Make sure you do this before 36,000 miles as that is when the drive train warranty expires for '06 Stratus.Yes that's right not the 100,000 mile warranty they love to advertise on TV.. Best thing to do is sell the car before it happens to someone stupid like myself who did not know about the problem or that Dodge would not stand behind this car!!
