I'm having the same problem and from what I understand we are not the only ones. There is a problem with the ABS sensor in the wheels and it is a widespread issue with most Pacifica owners. If you fix this problem, you still may have issues with the other side. Repair cost ranges from $350 to $500. Good luck.

The ABS light coming on, on the Pacifica is a VERY common problem. So common in fact, that it should have a recall on it, but does not. I myself own a 2005 Pacifica, and it's a recurring problem with my personal vehicle. If you are having problems with this, please please please go to www.nhtsa.gov. On the left hand side you will see a link that says Send in a complaint about my vehicle. Fill it out, and submit it. This site is for the National Highway Traffic Administration. They oversee recalls. PLEASE GO NOW!!! We shouldn't have to pay to have this fixed!!

I have Pacifica 2005. Had problem with immobilizer. Took time for shop to figure out that it is PCU (computer) fails to read immobilizer signal. Does a Chrysler pacifica ever shut itself down?
Yes, and it can be terrifying. The car shuts off with no warning, and takes the power steering and power brakes with it. If you search the web for "Chrylser Pacifica shutdown" you'll find (among various other things) numerous reports of 2004 and later models of the pacifica (including my own 2007) shutting down completely while driving. Sometimes there are warning lights afterwards, others not. Some report problems starting it back up again, others can restart immediately (we're in the latter group). Today, 1/28/2013, my wife had this happen to her 3 times within 5 miles of our house on the way to work. The third time was while she was turning through a busy intersection. Losing steering and brakes in a busy intersection during a turn? Yep. Our kids (5 & 2) won't ride in it again till we KNOW its fixed. And there doesn't seem to be a solution. ?! Oh, and 05 and 06 pacifica's had recalls for what sounds like this precise problem. I'm not so sure this fixed the problem however, several reports for 05s and 06s post-date the recall by several years. I have to wonder how many people have died as a direct result of this problem... Like I said, "terrifying".
Hvac problem for a 2004 pacifica?
The fan blows air out the front vents and doesn't change to floor, defrost or bi-level. I can adjust the temp and fan speed. A week before I noticed this, the HVAC display blacked out until I restarted. I have the exact same issue with my 2004 Pacifica. In my case, however, a week before, it was switching from air blowing to the floor, then the center vents then the defroster all by itself without my input. Finally, it rested on the center vents and now that's only where air blows from. If anyone knows the answer, please email me at rose11422@gmail.com
What does service tire system soon mean in a 2004 Chrysler pacifica?
This is a very buggy system and prone to erroneous messages. There is a early and a late 2004 pacifica , the early system seems to be the problem one. It might have a defective tire pressure sensor , which takes the place of the valve stem. Typical cost is $120 - $150 each for replacement. You might want to consider buying a tire gauge and check your tire pressure once a month and ignore this message. Could also be just low tire pressure.Low tire or a sensor failure.
