308 is better it is a higher caliber and shoots farther unless you want a cheap gun 308s are more expensive making you want to choose a sucky brand 308 which makes the 270 better.
the bet gun to deer hunt with is a 30-06 or a 308
270 are better
None of the above. The best, IMO, to start with is the 22lr.
Blue Book of Gun Values has a store brand chart
"Better" is a subjective term. Without more information, neither is "better"
Not always. The gun should be selected for the purpose it is to be used.
Some hunters like the .243, but it's generally recommended that you use at least a .270.
Neither one is "better" per se. It boils down to your skills and the intended use.
Personally I'd use a .308 Winchester, but it really depends on what you're hunting. If it's just deer or anything smaller, this will be perfectly fine.
30-06 is capable of taking any game animal in North America. You can find 30-06 in WalMarts, country stores, and any gun shop. Can you find 6.5 Creedmoor ammo in the same places is a good question. The Creedmoor was created as a long range TARGET cartridge, and it does that very well. For deer, I would stick with 30-06, .308, .270, etc. They are, IMHO, better HUNTING cartridges.
most enthusiasts will agree that the M4 is an excellent weapon. Hunters will not agree that the .223 caliber is good for deer hunting. the popular calibers for deer will be 30-06, .243 winchester, 30-30, and .308 winchester.
That's sort a difficult question to answer. Any caliber might happen to kill a deer. A good gun would be 7mm or 308. Depending on the size of the deer. And how much recoil you can take and how loud maybe. Just make sure you can get a rifle that you like and fits you comfortably. some calibers might be .243 30-30 7mm-08 .270 and most calibers over a .223 will kill a deer either by dropping it or you would have to follow a blood trail . but dont get a caliber that you cant handle or is to big . You can go to your local gun smith for their opinion also. happy hunting and safe hunting and remember to take youths to get them into the sport.
