It could be in their genes. One or both of the parents could have had long hair parents. Also technically each kitten can have a different father but if you know that the female was not exposed to any other male, then it is in the gene pool of one or both of the parents. There was a Long Hair somewhere in the wood pile, so to speak :0).

yes they do. right after they're born they are still kind of wet from being in the mother cats womb, so the fur is slicked down, but once they get cleaned and dry off they are very furry little cuties :)
