I am doing a science lab with my class where different liquids are added to cabbage juice. If the mixture remains purple, the liquid was a neutral. If it turns blue, it was a base, and if it turns red, it was an acid. Because this is for elementary students, they will be testing mild acids like Orange Juice, lemon juice, Tomato Juice, etc.
2 most common I have encountered:
Sodium Hydroxide - NaOH
Sodium Bicarbonate- NaHCO3
JSYK (just so you know)
Ammonia is not an Alkali it is a BASE
"all alkali are bases but not all bases are alkali" Ammonia does not neutralize an acid and it is not a soluble base. Ammonium Hydroxide is an Alkali
hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid and nitric acid
Hydrochloric Acid
Sulphuric Acid
Nitric Acid
Two:
Sodium hydroxide and
Sodium bicarbonate I don't know a third x
5 common acids are 1-Sulphuric Acid, 2-Hydrochloric Acid, 3- Nitric Acid, 4- Acetic Acid and 5 Citric Acid
The principal acids in a chemical lab are: sulfuric, nitric, phosphoric, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, etc.
Hydrochloric, sulfuric and nitric acid
Borosilicate glass is a special type of glass which does not melt/crack on heating at high temperatures .It is used in many places such as science labs , at home , in construction ,etc. It is a mixture of salt of boric and silic acids
-ic ex: hydrolic
Glass does not readily react with most substances, so it is well-suited for use in chemistry labs.
It is used in labs to indicate how much acidic or basic a solution is.
Acids can be used to determine the concentration of a given alkaline solution. Acids can be used to dissolve solids that do not dissolve in water. Abides are used to identify certain substances, such as in cation precipitation.
Simple organic acids are used for oil and gas well stimulation treatments. It came to be used when chemists need the feel of chemical reaction of oxygen with the carbon atoms and successfully done different experiments. These acids are much weaker than the mineral acids and do not dissociate completely in water.
Well, the most used name in a science lab is a forecep.
A Distillation vessel is the name given to the glassware/tubes used in Science Labs
To get all of kinds science equipment/apparatus go to Wikipedia.com and look up pH meter, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography mass spectroscopy (GC/MS), pipettes, vortex, electrophoresis, and a desiccator. This should get you started.

Googles are needed in science labs in case of explosions.
it is used for heating chemicals!
benzoic acid,boric acid,sulphuric acid
-ic ex: hydrolic
acids are of types.....concentrated acids are strong.
They are used in labs as lab rats
Well, i did a report on acids and ofcourse they are used in fertilizers :)
