Swimming is a very beneficial form of exercise that can be done even by people who are suffering from various injuries or illnesses that would prevent them from doing other forms of exercise (when swimming is used to help people recover from illness it is called hydrotherapy).

Many people drown unnecessarily because they never bothered to learn how to swim (which is actually very easy to do). You never know when you may accidentally fall into some body of water, and it's good to be prepared.

Swimming is fun.
