Well, there's a lot to check, but it sounds electrical- Check wires, plugs- I had a bad coil on my 2000. Open up the cowl to see if there is any arcing of the coil, wires etc. While you have it open, check the cap and rotor Astroman
inspect the distributor gear.
i would change the spark plug wires
Your distributer or your coil
check vac hose's for damg. or hole
it is not adjustable, it is controlled by the computer.
ford has a msd type of ignition on their car but instead of firing twice all time it only fires twice at idle just because you have good spark at idle it does not it is firing correct.
Sounds like it needs new plug wires and possible plugs too.
Misses is correct.
My E150 van 1994 5.8L has intermittent misses at idle and cruise. Cruise control & Idle air control doesn't work? Stalls when trying to accelerate from a dead stop (traffic light, etc.) Can you give me a more detailed explanation for code 212?
.38-.43 with .40 ideal for idle and highway speeds
The Misses....(Jones etc)
Your fuel pressure drop could be do to a clogged filter, pinched line/hose, or a weak fuel pump. You should have around 35 psi at idle and 43 off idle. I hope this helps answer your question.
