I Don't Think It Has Wires it has a coil pack on each spark plug ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only the 4.6L has plugs and wires , plus 2 coil packs. The 5.4L has plugs no wires, plugs 8 coil packs.
The recommended spark plug gap for a 2003 Ford Expedition 4.6 is .054"
On a 1998 Ford Expedition : The 4.6 liter V8 has the Electronic Distributorless Ignition System ( EDIS ) and it has ( 2 coil packs ) along with the ( 8 spark plug wires ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The 5.4 liter V8 has the Coil On Plug ignition system and has ( 8 ) individual coils
