That happened to me when I was pregnant with my son. The fluid is blood. All the nurse told me to do is to take it easy and that I may spot in the next following days. Don't worry! I spotted once and never again. My son is 20 months. Also I am pregnant again and have the same thing again! I am 5 weeks 1 day. Totally normal...again. Hope this helps!!
At 6 wks pregnant, on ultrasound, you can see the gestational sac ( the home of the baby). Unless you have an endovag ultrasound, then you can see a very small fetal pole and a small heart beat. It is very hard to see anything at that early of pregnancy.
It was difficult to see the line that represents the very beginning of the embryo. Most likely, the gestational sac was seen on the ultrasound.
Ultrasound pictures are a fantastic advancement in technology. One practical application of ultrasound is in the non-invasive monitoring of fetal development in pregnant women.
i had an ultrasound when i was 6 weeks pregnant, but by ultrasound, the pregnancy measured to be 5 weeks, so no fetal pole was seen yet. i think the earliest fetal poles can be seen is about 6 1/2 - 7 weeks. hope this helps :)
It depends what stage you are at. If very early the embryo may not develop but if there is a fetal heart then you are definitly pregnant.
I found out i was pregnant with my twins at 3 weeks. I got a positive pregnancy test at 2 weeks due to higher levels of HCG in my urine and then began bleeding so went to the ER and they done an ultrasound. You could see the gestational sacs, but not the fetal poles yet.
An ultrasound at 6 weeks should show a fetal heartbeat, if there was a fetal heartbeat you're not miscarrying.. It's probable you estimated your due date wrong.
no it is not no it is not
How far along you are based on your LMP is called Gestational Age. Technically, in this method, for the first two weeks of your pregnancy, you aren't technically pregnant. What you found out at your sonogram was called Fetal Age, this is the actual age of your baby since conception. Conception usually happens two weeks after the first day of your last menstrual period so your sound like you are right on track. I am 7 weeks and 6 days pregnant according to my gestational age, and 5 weeks and 6 days pregnant according to fetal age.
ABout 5 to 6 Weeks, not much there to see really. They are tiny tiny then. God bless
There are two answers to this - one good and one bad. The most probable answer is that you miscalculated and you are actually 5 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately there is a possibility that you did fall pregnant 9 weeks ago and that the pregnancy will not progress. It is possible that either the fetus is not developing, or that the fetus has died which usually means the gestational sac will shrink and appear to be not as advanced as you are.
Prematurity is diagnosed by determining the gestational age of the baby using ultrasound imaging, calculating from a date of conception, using the Dubowitz exam, electronic fetal monitoring, blood samples.
