35it is 24 over 4* * * * *3 / 4 * 8 = 0.75 * 8 = 6which is the simplified version of the above answer.Since there are no brackets (parentheses) the two operations, multiplication and division, are carried out from left to right.

How do you calculate the length and breadth of a rectangle given the area and the perimeter?

Perimeter = (2 lengths) + (2 widths)1/2 of the perimeter = (length) + (width)Area = (length) x (width)So if you're given the area and the perimeter:-- Look for factor-pairs that multiply to give the area.-- The right pair of factors is the pair that add to give 1/2 of the perimeter.Example:Area = 24Perimeter = 22Factor pairs that make 24:1 x 242 x 123 x 84 x 6Which pair is it ?Perimeter = 221/2 the perimeter = 11.Look at the sums:1 + 24 = 252 + 12 = 143 + 8 = 11

What are the chances of rolling the number seven with two dice?

There are 36 permutations of two dice. Of these, six have a sum of seven. The probability, then, of rolling a seven on two dice is 6 in 36, or 1 in 6, or about 0.1667.It does not matter if two dice are rolled one time, or if one die is rolled two times. The probability of rolling a sum of 7 is still about 0.1667.The first thing to do is to identify all possible combinations which could give the sum of 7. These are: 6 and 1, 5 and 2, 4 and 3, 3 and 4, 2 and 5, and 1 and 6.Thus there are 6 possible combinations.For each of these combinations, the probability of getting the 1st number correct is 1/6 and the probability of getting the second number correct is 1/6, and so the overall probability of the combination is 1/36There are 6 ways to get 7 though so 6x 1/36 = 1/6Which means the probability that 2 dice rolls will add up to 7 is 1/6

What is uniform deceleration?

Answer 1It means the change in speed is a constant, over the time interval in question. Another view is to plot speed versus time, you would get a straight line with a constant slope. For the geeks, it means the function representing distance versus time is a quadradic (power of 2), so that the second derivative (acceleration) is a constant. For example if the distance versus time isD=3T**2then the speed at any point in time is (the 1st derivative)S=6Tand the acceleration is the 2nd derivativeA=6which is no longer dependent on time (ie: it is a constant).Answer 2Deceleration is the negative form of acceleration, meaning when something is slowing down, i.e. that the velocity keeps decreasing as time keeps increasing until velocity reaches 0.The uniform part concerns the rate of the slowing. Deceleration can have jerk, meaning that the change in velocity between two equidistant points in time is different. Uniform deceleration lacks jerk, meaning that all changes in velocity over time are constant. In lay men's terms, for example, when you stop a car by applying the breaks, the speed of the car might decrease from 35 to 30 miles per hour in one second and then decrease from 30 to 20 miles per hour in the next second. This shows jerk because in the first instance the deceleration was half of the second deceleration. If the example were changed so that in the second second, the speed dropped from 30 to 25 miles per hour, this would be uniform.Therefore uniform deceleration is when something slows down at a consistent rate.

Why is 6 a prime number?

It is the product, not the sum, of three consecutive integers that is divisible by 6. The three consecutive integers must be multiplied, not added.For example, 2+3+4 = 9, which is not evenly divisible by 6.If your first number is odd, then the statement works. Here's why:The first number is odd, so it can be written as 2n+1 for some integer n.The next two numbers are just 2n+2 and 2n+3.Then the sum of the three numbers is:(2n+1) + (2n+2) + (2n+3) = 6n + 6which is obviously divisible by 6 regardless of the number you used for n.For the 'Product of three consecutive integers..." see the Related Question below.

How the world began in biblical terms?

The world began because it was created by almighty God, who spoke and things came into existence. This process is described in Genesis 1 to 2:4a which list the general categories of things which God created. From the list it is obvious it is not intended to be a scientific listing but it is clear from the broad categories that the intention is that God made everything. This is made clear in the following verse:6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: In this verse heaven obviously refers to what we call the universe, which was, to the ancients, everything 'up there'. The earth refers to the same planet on which we live. The remainder of the verse makes clear that everything in the known universe was made by this almighty God. John 1:1-3 makes it clear that Jesus Christ, the second person in the trinity, was involved in the creation as the divine word of God. 1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2The same was in the beginning with God. 3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Although the idea that God created everything out of nothing (ex nihilo) is contained in the Hebrew word bara, to create, it is also made clear in Hebrews 11:3. 3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so thatthings which are seen were not made of things which do appear.Sometimes there are two creation accounts referred to in Genesis. This is some what misleading as the second section which begins from Genesis 2:4 onwards deals specifically with the creation of man. The earlier account dealt with the earth and universe, as some have pointed out the creation of space and time and matter as a tri-universe which reflects the triune nature of God Himself. This literary device, where a subject is discussed and then a specific detail is enlarged upon has been identified as a recurring feature of ancient literature of this period.Some have also suggested, not without substance, that the details of the creation account in Genesis 1 are structured so that specific deities which were credited in the ancient world with making various things are specifically 'dethroned.' The one true and almighty God is proclaimed as the maker of all things, not the sun god or the moon god etc. God is thus, as creator, proclaimed as being infinite in both wisdom and power. Soome of God's wisdom in creation is only being discovered today, both in terms of how things are put together, but in the genetic blueprint, even down to the beauty of some of the designs which are intricately beautiful in miniature.
