Sounds like a vacume leak could be at the throttle body base check the gasket by spraying carb cleaner around it (be careful this is very flamable) if the engine changes idle you found it replace the gasket if not check the idle air control valve somtimes they can be cleaned and reinstall but most of the time I just replace them.
