If you can get it to start with starting fluid, then you're getting spark and air.
Check your carb to make sure that the jets are working correctly and you're getting fuel. Is your fuel pump intank or on the side of the block? If you haven't replaced the fuel line from the pump to the carb, I'd suggest you do so.
is the battery fully charged?
