If you are looking for the coolant temp sensor for the Rinex fuel injection system it is on the drivers side just behind the motor mount. if you disconnect and remove the air box with a flashlight you can see it and if there is a plug there you need to remove it and get the sensor and install it. will correct injector firing issues and timing.
The temp sensor is generally screwed into the thermostat housing. Not sure what the issue is you are having, but with my 01 Grand Cherokee I had a cooling fan relay fail. Basically the fan wasnt working, tested it using jumpers and it worked fine. Learned through online that the relay is located behind the front bumper. Basically you remove the passenger side headlight and use a hole saw and drill a hole in the top of the bumper. The relay is right there. Also, the drilled hole is invisible once you re install the headlight. Hope this helps.
It's a 30 dollar part. The unit should be located near the filter. Unplug/Unscrew the old one and insert new and plug in.
Bad sending unit in tank.
The plug or sensor above the oil filter on a 1996 Cherokee is the oil pressure sending unit. This sensor controls the oil pressure gauge.
to purge the air out of the 4.0 L motor, start with a full cooling system, a cold motor, and the jeep parked with the nose pointed down hill. The idea is to have the front top of the valve cover lower than the rear bottom of the valve cover. If you have not met all three conditions, STOP serious injury or failure can occur locate the coolant temperature sending unit, at the back of the motor, driver's side disconnect the sensor using a deep socket, loosen the sensor and monitor the escaping air and coolant until it is only coolant tighten the sensor, connect the leads, and start the motor, checking for leaks repeat twice more
The 1997 Chevrolet Camaro 3.8 liter engine coolant temperature sending unit can be found on the front of the engine. The coolant temperature sending unit will be approximately 3 inches above the thermostat housing.
On a Honda Accord the coolant temperature sending unit is on the passenger side of the upper engine. It is next to the cylinder head.
The coolant temperature sending unit on a 97 Mercury Sable is in the engine compartment. It is located on the intake manifold.
The coolant temperature sending units are near the thermostat housing. The small one is for your temperature guage, the larger one is for the EEC system.
Where is the coolant temperature sending unit in a 96 toyota tacoma 3.4L V6
On my 1995 with the 4.0 L OHV engine, the coolant temperature sending unit for the temperature guage is located on the intake manifold just to the left of the thermostat housing when standing in front of the vehicle. The larger sending unit on the right is for the EEC system.
Coolant temperature sending unit is located on the front of the engine. The cooling temperature sending unit will be on the right hand side of the engine.
I know there is one on my 97 Cherokee on a radiator hose housing just in front of the cylinder head. (there are three coolant hoses going to the housing). I have been told there is another one on the radiator but i havent found it yet. I was also looking for another sending unit, but the service manual for a 2000 Cherokee says that same ECT sensor on the thermostat housing also drives the coolant temp gauge, thru the pcm. I think earlier models had a separate coolant temperature sending unit on the cylinder head driver side rear.
Just above the coolant thermostat on the passenger side of the engine.
If the wiring and connections at the coolant temp sending unit check okay start with replacing the coolant temp sending unit. Temp sending unit should be less than $20.
Are you refering to the Temperature Gauge Sending UnitThe sending unit is located in the front section of the intake manifold in the vicinity of the thermostat.
