Headgasket or head may have gone bad and hydrolically locked the motor.

There could be a few reasons why a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron will crank but not start. The fuel pump could be out or the car could be out of gas. There may be a malfunction in the ignition system causing no spark.

It could be a head gasket or cracked head. With the engine cold, take the radiator cap off and crank the engine. If the head gasket is bad coolant should shoot out of the radiator. 12 inches to possibly hitting the hood.

A cracked rib can be caused by a fall, excessive coughing, or just about anything. There is no real treatment for a cracked rib besides time.

I don't know, but I have the same problem. My radiator cracked and my battery light and brake light came on ALL at the same time! I got my new radiator today and went to crank the car to drive it to my friend's house and it wouldn't crank. Ggrrrr...I hate being a girl sometimes! == my answer == Commonly this is caused by the failure of the accessory (known as fan or alternator belt) drive belt This causes the alternator to quit working and the engine to overheat, perhaps ruining the engine.

does it stall/ have lack of power. has it ever overheated? cylinter walls may be warped.

Ran out of gas, failed fuel pump, water in the gas. Alternator, crank sensor, cam sensor, computer, coil, broken wiring. There is no water or metal shavings in the oil will take a closer look at the wires Can not do compression test What did you mean by plug the plug depending on how overheated it was will lead to an answer. Check the wires around the motor, see if any have been melted/broken causing a short. The other things are blow head gasket, warped head, cracked block. If you know how you can do a wet and dry compression check. the other thing to look for is to plug the plug, crank the motor to see if water is on top of the piston.. hope it helps. duboff

If its the same as a 97 it is right on top of the engine near the radiator hose that goes into the radiator. You are wrong, on the 97 that is the CAMSHAFT position sensor on top next to the radiator hose the CRANKSHAFT position sensor is under the car, back of the motor, on the bell housing.

On a 1999 Ford Expedition : It's supposed to be at the front of the engine compartment , on top of the radiator support

some cooling systems, you can check by removing the radiator cap when the water is cool. Then crank the vehicle and let it run until it reaches operating temp. If the water reaches or exceeds operating temp with no flow seen inside of the radiator, it could possible mean that your cooling system is clogged. Also a good indication is if there is rust deposits around the filler neck on the radiator.

there may be two. one on the block facing the radiator fan close to the trans, the other under the crank pulley

Not hard. Take the radiator cap off and crank it up and let it run until it gets to operating temp. You should be able to see the coolant moving inside the radiator. if it is, it's working.

Bad news, sounds like a head gasket. The coolant is blown out because the exaust is going into the water passage. The heater is cold because there is not enough water to reach it. Your temp. gauge should be hot very quickly. Take the radiator cap off, stand back, and crank the motor. If water shoots out, it's a headgasket, cracked head, or cracked block.
