The choke is stuck closed. Before you start messing with the choke, go to your local library and check out a repair manual (Chilton or Haynes) for your vehicle. Go to chapter six and learn how to manually retrieve the trouble codes from the car's computer. Chapter six will also tell you what each trouble code means and how to trouble-shoot it. I am willing to bet your problem is not a stuck choke, but a bad TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) switch = an easy fix.
