i replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump relay. the pump runs for 2-3 seconds when key is turned. after cranking for awile, pump runs for 10-15 seconds after key is turned off. sputters a bit when sprayed w/starting fluid.
it is probly your fuel injectors. get them tested.
If it cranks but doesnt start it could be your fuel pump relay or your fuel pump could be bad.
Maybe your fuel pump
chances are to start with the fuel filter if that's not it try the fuel pump
check fuel pump, check coil pack.
bad fuel pump relay or fuse
The fuel pump in a 94 Lumina should not be running with the relay removed. The relay could be mislabeled, as the fuel pump is still getting power through a relay.
There will be possible symptoms of a faulty fuel pump. Some of these symptoms could be the following: 1. Engine stalling or pre-stalling 2. Loss of acceleration while depressing the accelerator 3. Engine cranks, but no start. The main condition to look for is symptom #3. A faulty fuel pump is present when the following conditions exist: -There are no air leaks. The intake and vacuum hoses are intact. -There are no fuel leaks. The fuel lines are in good condition. -The fuel injectors are clean and in good condition. -The fuel system is clean with no corrosion or damage. -The engines electrical components are safe and intact. *The engine cranks, but does not start. You will need a new fuel pump mainly if the engine cranks, but does not start. In order to maintain a good fuel pump, make sure the fuel system is regularly cleaned. Good routine maintenance is a good habit.
if its cranking but not starting most likely fuel pump
make sure you have fuel coming to your injectors, could be your fuel pump.
fuel pump could have gone bad , does it have fuel in the tank ?
In order of cost check: Fuse Fuel pump relay Fuel pump
If it just cranks and cranks and cranks then it's likely fuel pump. If it died and it won't turn over anymore, likely alternator.
