The heater core may be plugged. Flushing it may help. Disconnect both heater hoses from the engine, fabricate a fitting to attach a garden hose to one of the hoses, direct the other hose into a pail, gently turn on water and flush it until it runs clear then swap hoses and reverse flush until clear. Reattach hoses to engine and refill reservoir.
Thermostat stuck open or heater core clogged. Bad radiator cap or small hole in cooling system.
start by changing the thermostat
you need a new thermostat and possibly some anitfreeze
I have the same problem. Change your heater hoses, top and bottom !
I would change the thermostat first. If that dont work change water pump
Sounds like a defective heater core
Its either a bad heater core or a clogged one. They are very expensive.
Check the following items............... 1. A/C heater controller. 2. A/C heater controller doors.
Especially if you are in cold areas, it takes more pressure to circulate cold oil. When it warms up, the oil flows easier through the system reducing pressure.
Low coolant? Bad thermostat? Heater core airbound? Heater core restricted or plugged? Defective radiator cap not building sufficient pressure?
Make sure your radiator is full of coolant
Thermostat stuck open or heater core plugged. CONSIDER THE POSSIBILITY YOUR HEATER VALVE IS CLOSED/CABLE RENDERED INOPERATIVE BY A BROKEN PLASTIC SLIDER HOUSING,AS IS OFTEN THE CASE ON OTHER MODELS/MAKES,SHOULD IT NEVER WARM UP.
