Check the wireing and fuses first... then check if the computer is sending the signal after warmed up to the fan. The mechanic that worked on mine wanted to replace the computer because it wasnt sending a signal to the fan. I could jumper it and make it run and i have already replaced the computer once before, so what i did is wire it to go on with the ignition switch. No more problems since...knock on wood. Be careful not to overheat your engine as you may do more dammage,ie...warped head and head gasket reoplacement.
No. One fan is for the radiator, and the other is for the condenser. If you have the A/C on, they should both be on. Else, just the one for the radiator, if the thermostat is open.
Probably the water pump. these impellers go bad and if the regular service schedule is not followed correctly the pump will go out. These things are designed to fail at a set interval.
hey there thanks for any help, just bought a nissan primera 1990, both radiator fans dont work and im told the sensor may need changing, does anyone know where i can locate it to replace?
Figure out why they stopped working and repair the problem.
Bad thermostat, fans not working or coming on when they are supposed to, bad waterpump, bad radiator or radiator cap.
a bad termastat
Low coolant? Radiator dirty or plugged? Bad thermostat? Bad water pump? Cooling fans not working? Bad radiator cap?
More than likely the radiator fan resistor has gone bad. It is located at the bottom corner of the radiator.
Low coolant cooling fans not working thermostat not opening radiator dirty or plugged water pump not working system "airbound" defective radiator cap hoses collapsing
BAd thermostat. clogged radiator, cooling fans not working, blown head gasket.
Low coolant? Cooling fans not working? Water pump not circulating coolant? Radiator plugged or restricted?
You could have a stuck thermostat or your cooling fans aren't working.
