The Dipstick tube is held in place by 1 bolt. Remove that bolt, pull the tube, insert new one, install bolt.

BUT i do know there is a small bolt that u take out of the transmission when filling, and when it's high enough, it leaks out of the hole... BUT i do not know where it is exatally, but there for sure shouldn't be a dip stick... just the bolt in the side of the transmission, do a Google search and u may find where the bolt is located u need to remove when u fill it... according to a 97 cavi's owners manual you are not supposed to have to fill the auto trans fluid UNLESS there is a leak in the system. There is a small dipstick located oh the transmission it will be on the drivers side of the engine bay all the way down on the trans it is kinda hard to get to but it does have makings for full and Low
