Check fuel pressure, and check for codes. You will need a scan tool to read the cam and crank sensors while cranking, to see if they are working.

In the intake tube there should be a sensor (mass air )if you sparked that sensor it is now shorted and needs to be replaced

I changed only the camshaft position sensor on my 2000 Kia Sportage. So I don't think so.
First, change the oxygen sensor and the air filter. Clear the codes and see if the idler air sensor code comes back.
