well if you have had the key remade or it is not the original key, it doesnt have the chip in the key and the car will start, but then shut back off. Its a safety device. Check to see if you have the original GM key. Also Your fuel pump may have gone out. It will start for a couple of seconds, bu then once it uses up what gas is left in the lines, it will cut out. Get you fuel pressure checked.
