may need an oil pump may need a motor
Get the air out first..
The oil pump is found on the bottom on the 1995 Chevy Lumina's engine. It is mounted on the front of the crankshaft
Drain the oil from your 1995 Chevy Lumina oil pan. Remove the oil pan retaining bolts. Remove the oil pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new oil pump.
Are you sure it's the oil pan gasket? My Lumina 3.1 was leaking out oil from the distributor blank located under the plenum on the tranny side of the motor. The 3.1 used this blank to drive the oil pump from the camshaft even though there is no longer a distributor cap and rotor used on this motor, it has an "O" ring that deteriorates and will pump oil out at a very high rate. Use engine degreaser, take to car wash and use high pressure to clean off motor and verify if that is where the actual leak is coming from before undertaking oil pan gasket.
Oil pump driveshaft (also referred to as distributor) o-ring is bad. Replace, and oil will stop leaking there.
if you dont have any oil in the cars motor that would be a reasin why its knocking
the oil pump is on the front of the motor just below the water pump
you have to pull the motor and when you get the motor pulled take the oil pan off and the oil pump is in there ity will have a tube with a screen on it good luck
Omfg! It's in the crankcase and you ain't changeing that one yourself!
it depends on where you bring it or if your doing it yourself.
no. And if it does, the pump is not the right pump.
Worn out main and cam bearings, tired oil pump, restricted oil sump screen.
