98 astro 2wd extcab wont start after it rains and or high condensation Also tru is missing and will only accellerate up to half throttle if you floor it the engine rpm drops down and misses and backfi?

I had similar problems on a 99.

Two things that I found.

The coil body was arcing to the surrounding metal.

The coil sits on top of the passenger side valve cover.

If you remove the engine shroud and try to turn the vehicle over in a dark area you sometimes can see the coil arc to surrounding brackets.

Replace the coil.

Secondly, The distributor cap/rotor can be worn/corroded.

I replaced mine when I did a tune up and did not use AC Delco parts.

The AC parts are Aluminum, the aftermarket parts I bought were brass.

The brass Distributor contacts corroded very quickly and I would get the problems that you are talking about won't start and missing especially when it rains or is damp.

Once things would dry out I would have no problem.

I replaced both the Coil, Distributor Cap and Rotor with AC Delco parts and have not had the problem come back in a year.
