Idk. I replaced the thermal sensor on
mine I also have a 98 jetta didn't work. So it's either the fan switch or the control module fan relay.
Some cooling fans will stay running even if the car is shut off to cool down the motor. Once the fans thermostat gets tripped to shut off, the fan will continue to run.
Your temperature sensor or a fuse is bad.
The cooling fans on a 2002 Grand Am GT might not be working because of a problem with a fuse. There is also a temperature sensor in the engine that tells the fans when to come on. This sensor may be bad.
one of the sensors are between the two fans with wires going into it
Fuses. If fuses OK, read PCM datastream.
If the cooling fans will not turn on, check the pump to make sure the belt is turning the pump. Also check the blower resistor. This large fuse is usually located on the fuse box for the battery on most vehicles. On older vehicles it might be located on the blower motor itself.
Most likely you have overheating, that's why the keeps running. You need to check the temperature control sensor and the thermostat.
that's probably a sensor that shuts the engine off to protect from damages of overheating. it happens in some newer type cars.
Cooling fans may not turn off due to several reasons, such as a malfunctioning temperature sensor that incorrectly signals the need for cooling, or a problem with the fan control module that fails to respond to the system's requirements. Additionally, continuous operation can occur if the system is still overheating or if there is an issue with the thermostat. It's also possible that the fans are operating as designed, especially in high-load conditions. Checking for error codes and inspecting the relevant components can help diagnose the issue.
With many cars now days, the fan may continue to run after the car is shut off, or they may even start and run for a while after the car is shut off. An engine will actually get hotter for a short time after being shut off. Sometimes that will trigger a sensor to turn on the cooling fan. If it continually runs after being shut off, it could be a faulty temperature sensor, or a faulty fan relay, or even a bad computer.
as i herd there is no such thing for fans he wont give it to his fans he wont have time for that...i wanted that to to be honest but il never get it :( as i herd there is no such thing for fans he wont give it to his fans he wont have time for that...i wanted that to to be honest but il never get it :(
Because its probably not working. Try turning on the AC to see if they both kick on and make sure to do this when the car is warm. If the car is cold they fans wont kick in.
