99 Honda passport 4wd you put the vehicle into 4wd and the shifter pops out of gear4wd hi-lo when you went to disengage the 4wd button it just flashes and does not disengage?

dude flashing o/d means problems to your trans check it out No it doesnt. I own a 90 es250 and the o/d flashes when the car is in o/d. There is a small button on the back of the shifter where you can turn it on and off. You might want to look for this button elsewhere if it is not on your shifter.

I have a 2000 buick regal LS I recently found out there is an override for the gear shift, mine is located on the steering column under the steering wheel. There is a small plastic cap, pop it off, then use a screw driver press the button. This worked for me. Good Luck

Depending on the year... we have a 95 and to take it out we have to stop, put the 4wd shifter into neutral and then back up 15 feet or so. You should be able to feel the difference when turning.

Place the truck into nutral, push the 2H shifter into the 4H position and then put the car into reverse and back up about 12-15 feet. After doing so the clutche in each of the front hubs will be locked in. If you have manual locking hubs you will nedd to get out of the vehicle and lock them in manualy, and then repeat the procedure above. To disengage the hubs repeat the same procedure only in reverse (Pull the lever back into 2H).
