I don't think you should let a 9 year old get more than two ear piercings. It's ok if she has two, I had my ears pierced the day I was born, but if I was you I would't let her do it, she's too young! I'd tell her too wait at least 5 years & if she still wants to have them done she can. & answering your question: it does not hurt & if you're gonna allow it make sure it's not done w/a gun.

No, You should always go to a professional piercer with experience! Never go to a place like Claires or the Icing or even Walmart. Also be prepared for a lot of pain, Industrial piercings will hurt for sometimes more than a year after getting them done.

Well I average about 2000 piercings per year over 15 years that's about 30,000 piercings so I guess I could say alot. It's unknown how many professional body piercing studios there are out there now, so give them a rough average of 1200 piercings per store / per year it would add up to a lot of piercings.

In my experience, it all depends on how long you've had your piercings. If it's less then a year or so more than likely they will close up.

They healed remarkably quickly and there was no discomfort whatsoever afterward. I've had them about a year and I never feel them, mostly I forget that they are even there.
