How do you measure Sub-Cooling for a R-22 AC system
SUB-COOLING IS THE THE "HEAT BELOW SATURATION". THE SUB-COOLING LEAVING THE CONDENSER IS CALCULATED BY TAKING THE (ACTUAL)CONDENSING TEMPERATURE AND THEN SUBTRACTING (MINUS)THE LIQUID REFRIGERANT TEMPERATURE (USE THE CHART)LEAVING THE CONDENSER.=THE SUBCOOLING.
NORMAL SUBCOOLING AT THE CONDENSER OUTLET SHOULD BE 10*F.
THIS WILL ENSURE THAT LIQUID WILL NOT FLASH INTO VAPOR BEFORE IT GETS TO THE
EXPANSION VALVE, SHOULD THERE BE A SLIGHT INCREASE IN TEMPERATURE OR A SLIGHT DECREASE IN PRESSURE DUE TO A PRESSURE DROP.
SUB COOLING INCREASES CAPACITY & PREVENTS FLASH GAS IN THE LIQUID LINE AHEAD OF THE EXPANSION VALVE.
I HOPE THIS IS VERY CLEAR, AND HELPS U FIGURE OUT HOW TO MEASURE IT.

CFC's are present in Air conditioners. They are used for cooling.
Should be about 120 VAC.
No. Cooling the compressor will do little to improve the efficiency of the system. The compressor will be slightly more efficient, but the overall efficiency of the heat transfer will be unchanged. Cooling the condenser (the outside heat exchanger coils) will do more, but the money saved in AC costs will be offset by water wasted. Also, keep in mind the heat exchanger outside is an electrical device. It is designed to withstand rain on it, not water being hosed in it. Be carefull. This idea is half-cocked and I would not recommend it.
The meter should be on the AC scale. In Canada and US the reading should be 240 on the outside blade holes and 120 volt from the outside blade holes to the center blade hole. The U shaped pin is the ground. No voltage from it to the center pin.
The house must be sealed tightly as possible for a window ac to cool all rooms. Remember, the walls, floors, ceiling all absorb heat and you are cooling those too.If you are running room ac's only in the evening, the trick is to also use house fans to blow the air directly where it is needed, on you.
A 12000btu AC is considered 1 ton of cooling. 18000btu is 1.5 tons. One ton of AC will give you the cooling you would get by melting one ton of ice. EPM
Cooling fan not working, or your cooling system needs a complete service. The cooling fan should be on continuously when the A/C is on.
2002 dodge caravan ac is chareged sill not cooling

Is it possible that it was steam and not smoke? If the AC freezes up, it will stop cooling until it thaws. Then, it will being to operate again.
72 @ 35% rh is average
they get to hot/there is not enough cooling
They are too numerous to list here.
It will if the ac is on.
12,000 btu of cooling capacity.
The evaporator.
