You will need three things. A really good lawyer, a lot of money (think 100,000 USD) and patience. Don't get your hopes up.

FELONS CONVICTED IN STATE COURT OF STATE CRIMES: Although your particular state MAY be one which has a program to restore some of your "rights" (you will have to do research to learn if your state is one of these) you may apply for an expungement of your felony offense. If you qualify, and if your expungement is granted, you must specifically request that your firearms privileges be restored to you, and/or you will still remain subject to whatever restrictions your state and Federal Laws place on you (e.g.- voting rights - elective office - firearms/ammunition possession - etc). You must do your own research to learn if any of the foregoing applis to your particular state.
