The Construction Industry board in Florida can give you all of the details you need. Their website is http://www.myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/pro/cilb/.
You have to check with the county and/or municipality for exact rules there. State rules are found here at this site myfloridalicense.com/dbpr/abt/index.html.
Depending on which state your in the rules maybe different, I suggest looking in the yellow pages or online for real estate classes and ask, but for Florida you would do the following First apply with the DBPR, I got the forms from the Real Estate class I attended, Second you would take the class, while your waiting for the approval letter from the DBPR you can take the class if you chose, otherwise you can wait to be approved Three after the DBPR approves you, make an appointment to take the Real Estate Exam Last you can take RealEstate exam (75% to pass) after you pass you'll get you license in the mail

you have to be 14 EDIT: Actually, you don't need a work permit in Florida, according to Florida Law, since I was asked this in an application like 2 weeks ago (when I turned 14). Here is the link: http://www.myflorida.com/dbpr/reg/childlabor/ChildLaborEduc.html So Child Labor Laws are pretty non-existent! Hope this helps you on your "quest" to find a job! DG P.S: I hate my name (leftbehindkid101) because I signed up for it when I was much younger, I'm not left behind, quite the opposite actually! Thanks!
General contractor licenses are obtained from the Florida Dept. of Business & Professional Regulation. You can apply online, complete a printable application or get specific information about licensing requirements on Florida's "DBPR Online Services" website. There is also a link to search existing contractor licenses. Using the free website "Florida Contractor Licenses Directory" you can access both websites. Generally, you will need to pass a state certification exam, must be at least 18 years of age and pay the required fee.
You can always apply for reinstatement at the Department of Business & Professional Regulation. (DBPR). They will guide you in the necessary steps to take to reactivate your license.
