Rabbits are small fluffy animals from the family of Lagomorphs. (not Rodents as many people think)

Generally, they have long ears, either pointing up or "lopping" downwards. 4 legs with 5 claws on each front foot and 4 longer claws on their large flat back feet. Sloping backs down to small "bun" style tails. (hence the name bunnies).

Rabbits have large eyes on the side of their heads, either brown or less frequently blue or grey. They have prominant front teeth with a "twitching nose" above.

Many rabbits have what is called a "dewlap" blow their chin and down over their chests. These resemble double chins and are in fact just fat stores.

What if your rabbit is pure white with light almost see through pink ears and red eyes rimmed with blue what kind of rabbit would that be?

Depending on it's size, you either have a blue eyed white Netherland Dwarf or a white Beveren (assuming that you have a purebred rabbit.) There are no other breeds of rabbit accepted by the ARBA that have blue eyes. Of course there is always the possibility that it is a crossbreed rabbit.

What is a cottontail rabbit's description?

The appearance most cottontail rabbits closely resemble the wild European Rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus). Most members of the genus have a stub tail with a white underside that shows when they are retreating, giving them their name "cottontails." However, this feature is not present in all cottontails (for example, the underside of the Brush Rabbit's tail is grey), nor is it unique to the genus (for example, the European Rabbit also has a white scut).
