I think that the belief comes from Agnosticism. I only believe that because of the fact that they believe more in spirits rather than the whole God complex; and with that, (if i have my facts straight) that their soul/spirit will become one with the high spirit once their bodies die. (if im wrong PLEASE correct me) it will not offend me. :)
