You can say "much" or "many"
it really depends on the context;
for example, you could say, "it depends a lot"
but it sounds less formal, so you can re-format your sentence or find a synonym -
a couple examples;
- a great deal
- very much
- very many
- much
- lots
as I've said before, it depends on the format and also on how you want to make yourself/you paper/? sound

a better way of saying choose is "I chose this dress".......or maybe "I selected this dress"
Another way of saying a lot, is many.However, it also depends on the context in which you're using the word. If it is "There are a lot of cars" then many would fit. On the other hand, if it were used in the context of "They talk a lot." then other terms, such as a great deal or quite a bit, would probably fit better.
