Stephenie Meyer was born on December 24, 1973 in Hartford Connecticut. Her

father's name was Stephen, so they added ie to his name, naming her Stephenie. They

moved to Arizona when she was four years old. Stephenie was the second born out of her

five siblings Emily, Hedie, Jacob, Paul, and Seth. Her nicknames are "SteMe and

Steph." Interestingly enough, she is also a vegetarian. Stephenie belongs to the Church of

Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She Graduated from Chaparral High School, Class of

1992 in Scottsdale, Arizona with composer Jason Brandt . She attended Brigham Young

University in Utah on a scholarship where Stephenie received an English degree.

Stephenie always loved to read books, especially the classics. She loved authors like

Shakespeare. Stephenie built up her inspiration by watching the movie "Pride And

Prejudice". She met her husband at age four, but only saw him once in a while at church

activities however they never spoke to each other. Many years later they met again and

eventually they became married. People call her husband Pancho. His real name is

Christiaan. Later, Stephenie and Christiaan decided to start a family together and ended

up having three boys..

One night Stephenie Meyer was sleeping and woke up from a dream about a vampire and other people. She didn't want to forget it so she got up and went to the computer and started to write about her dream. She didn't know why she was doing this, she had not written in a long time. She had became a full time mother, putting her reading and writing behind her. There was no plan of making it a book. With encouragement from her older sister, the only one that knew she was writing a book at the time, she wrote to a bunch of agencies to see if she could get it published. She sent 15 letters and got 9 rejections, 5 no answers, and one wanted to read more. Soon, about three months later, she had it published and in 2005 Twilight became the most talked about novel. Twilight was originally named Forks which is the name of the town in Twilight. Her first dream she had about Twilight is chapter 13 in the book .Within weeks after being released the book debuted at #5 on the New York times bestseller list.

Stephenie got so into her story that she had to continue with more books. She

Her inspiration came from the classical books she read and music that she only began

listening to as an adult. Next, New Moon was released in September 2006. New Moon

originally had a different and easier ending but her mother suggested she should add

more action to the ending. It spent more than 25 weeks at the #1 position on the New

York Times bestseller list. Then, Eclipse was made in 2007. Stephenie commented on this

being the delightful book to write. Fans made the Twilight Saga a worldwide

phenomenon. On may 6Th Meyer wrote The Host, (not part of the twilight saga). The

Host is her favorite , it is about adult things that are part of here life. On August 2, 2008,

the final book in the Twilight Saga, Breaking Dawn, was released at 12:01 midnight.

Breaking Dawn sold 1.3 million copies in its first 24 hours of being made!

The Twilight movie was released on November 21 2008. Twilight debuted at #1 at the box office with $70 million making it the highest grossing opening weekend for a female director. During the movie, if you focus on the bar scene, you will notice her sitting in a booth, but it was only for a few seconds. Stephenie could not believe what was happening in her life.

Stephenie Meyer became famous because she wrote the book Twilight and finished the #1 best selling series. It is becoming bigger than the Harry Potter series! She does not know why people like her stories so much but thinks it might be because when she writes she forgets it's not real. She gets so into it that she thinks the characters become real for the reader because they are real for her.

Stephenie Meyer impacted others because she helped people like me love to read. She encourages people to go live their dreams. Stephenie also gives advise to others about raising families. She tells them that if they want to write and it's something they enjoy, go for it! She also did an auction for her best friend to help pay for her friends medical bills. Her stories are published in 37 different countries.

Stephenie is still alive and she lives in Phoenix Arizona With her 3 sons Gabe(3)Seth(5), Eli(8) and with her Husband Christiaan(36). She took a year off to write more books such as a ghost stories, and two sequels to her book "The Host". In the future, Stephenie plans on participating in helping to compose Music Videos for Jack's Mannequin. MTV News is saying that Stephenie will be directing the music video for "The Resolution". This happens to be her first single from her album "The Glass Passenger." finally, She definitely plans on writing more books in the future and publishing them, hopefully creating more movies along with music CD's and books.
