The computer repair shop legally owes you a replacement at the value of the computer you left with them. I recommend, in the future, taking your computer to a smaller repair shop (assuming you took it to a larger place before). Small business owners who don't own large chains tend to be more detail oriented and care a bit more about repeat business - often giving you better service and taking better care of the things you place in their trust.
