That does sound as if the head gasket has failed or the head is cracked.

you have a dry socket and need to go back to the dentist and get it drilled out

You align them with socket wrench. There are couple of holes on top of the head lights and you have to get the socket wrench through there and just turn the plastic screw to align them.

Gelfoam is a material placed in a socket where a tooth has recently been removed. It reduces pain and bleeding.
The gauze is medicated with a simple form of local anesthetic. It is packed into the socket and it will not likely come out. After a day or two it will need to be removed. If the socket is still painful, the dentist may repack it with fresh medicated gauze. It too will have to be removed after a few days. Eventually, the socket will calm down, and the gauze will not have to be replaced.
Remove brake light interior trim panels. Then you push and twist the socket for the brake light that needs replacing. Then pull out socket. then pull out bulb from socket and place new bulb in the light socket. Once bulb is installed into light socket. Place the socket where you removed it from brake light housing. Push and twist clockwise to lock back in place. Then replace trim panels.
I am not 100% sure, but I just changed the motor in a 94 and I thing 93 is the same and I believe it is in the housing where the bottom radiator hose hooks onto the motor. After you take the hose off, the should be able to be removed by taking off the two bolts using a 10mm socket, the thermostat should be sitting right in there. Be sure you get the gasket for it if the new one does not come with one, usually it will leak if you reuse the old gasket.
