Authentication is the term for establishing a connection between any two Bluetooth devices.
The OSI layer that moves bits between devices is the Physical layer, which is the first layer of the OSI model. It is responsible for the transmission and reception of raw binary data over a physical medium, such as cables or wireless signals. This layer defines the electrical, mechanical, and procedural aspects required for the physical connection between devices.
Ethernet is a type of wired connection used for transferring data between devices on a network. It involves the use of cables to create a physical connection between devices.
To connect two devices, you typically need to establish a physical or wireless link between them. For wired connections, use appropriate cables, such as USB or HDMI, ensuring both devices support the connection type. For wireless connections, enable Bluetooth or Wi-Fi on both devices, then pair or connect them through the respective settings. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the connection process.
Dedicated
An isochronous connection is a path between two devices over a predetermined list of wireless channels. Bluetooth uses this type of connection to deter the amount of interference received as well as created. The basic idea of this connection type is that two devices will cycle between channels a-f, and repeat.
For a direct network connection between two devices you need a cross-over cable.

To establish a USB MIDI connection between your devices, you will need a USB MIDI interface cable. Connect one end of the cable to the USB port on your computer and the other end to the MIDI port on your MIDI device. Install any necessary drivers or software, then configure your devices to recognize the MIDI connection.
