If you are asking what a female author is called, they are referred to as "author", the same as a male. The word "authoress" does exist, however it is very rarely used because many people consider it "old-fashioned, sexist and patronising", as some (but not all) dictionaries would tell you.

If you are asking for examples of female authors, then Suzanne Collins, J.K Rowling, Veronica Roth, Virginia Woolfe, Agatha Christie and Jane Austen are famous examples.
