Polio is a viral infection that has various long lasting symptoms on it's victims. It's most notable and infamous symptom is the severe deformation of limbs that have been made flaccidly paralyzed by the virus. This paralysis doesn't stiffen the limb but makes it unmovable by the owner. This means a paralyzed leg can still be bent but can't be bent by the owner's own will rendering the limb almost useless.
