1. A still object will remain still until acted upon by an outside force. A moving object will remain moving in the same direction with the same speed until acted upon by an outside force. 2. An object will continue to travel at constant speed unless acted on by an unbalanced force, and for every force acted on there is an equal opposite reaction in the other way. So the speed and direction of the object will be changed.Source(s):F=MA

Force
Acceleration is the change in velocity of an object over time. Take note that velocity is a vector quantity which means that it has magnitude and direction...Thus...An object undergoes acceleration when:1. there is a change in the magnitude of the velocity (speed) of an object.2. there is a change in direction of an object.3. it changes both in direction and magnitude.
When an object is moving it stays moving unless acted upon by opposing force(s). i.e. gravity, friction, etc. See Newton's 1st law of motion: related links.
force
In this case, it is as if no force acted on the object. The object won't acceleration; if it is resting, it will continue resting, and if it is moving, it will continue moving at the same velocity.
An object acted on by a force will accelerate in the direction of the force. Be careful, though, as this doesn't mean it will actually MOVE in the direction of the force. It may just slow down, etc.
Direction will be changed by the force caused acceleration, a=F/m.
