A biopsy (in Greek: βίος life and όψηlook/appearance) is a medical test involving the removal of cells or tissues for examination. The tissue is generally examined under a microscope by a pathologist, and can also be analyzed chemically. When an entire lump or suspicious area is removed, the procedure is called an excisional biopsy. When only a sample of tissue is removed with preservation of the histological architecture of the tissue's cells, the procedure is called an incisional biopsyor core biopsy. When a sample of tissue or fluid is removed with a needle in such a way that cells are removed without preserving the histological architecture of the tissue cells, the procedure is called a needle aspiration biopsy.A biopsy is a medical procedure where a sample of tissue is taken for testing. This can refer to any type of body tissue. Biopsy can be done both externally for skin or wart testing; or internally by removing small bits of an organ or internal structure for further analysis.
The standard method of diagnosing cervicitis is through a pelvic examination or a Pap smear. During the pelvic exam, the physician usually swabs the affected area, and then sends the tissue sample to a laboratory.

A dermatologist can diagnose the condition by physical examination and by examining a preparation of skin scrapings under a microscope. This test, called a KOH preparation, treats a sample of tissue scraped from the infected area
swollen area in tissue - ABSCESS. NB 47 down is MOUSSE not POMADE.
Gaucher disease may be suspected based on symptoms and is confirmed with a blood test for levels of the enzyme. Samples of tissue from an affected area may also be used to confirm a diagnosis of the disease.
The area is known as a foci of necrotic tissue, eventually turning into fibrosed (scar) tissue. The process by which this occurs is tissue ischaemia (where not enough oxygen is supplied to the heart tissue to meet its requirements).

Coagulative necrosis is a histopathological diagnosis, meaning a sample of the tissue was taken and placed on a microscope slide then evaluated by a trained veterinary pathologist. Necrosis means death, so the tissue sample had many dead cells in it. Coagulative means clotted, so the tissue sample also had a lot of protein from no identifiable source that was making a big blob of protein on the slide. Coagulative necrosis is the primary diagnosis of recent tissue injury and death. Over time, the body will naturally clean out the dead tissue and replace it either with normal tissue or with scar tissue. If you read this diagnosis for one of your pets, it means an organ or tissue was severely damaged in one area (the part that was biopsied). However, this doesn't give any indication how wide-spread the damage was, if this is an on-going process or not, or if other organs or tissues were affected. You will need to talk with your veterinarian about the full pathology report as well as results of clinical tests (like blood work) to see what this means in terms of health or disease for your pet.
