This is a bit tricky. I was tempted to answer "Check whether your wireless is on". However, if you do "View wireless networks" you will not only see
- whether your wireless is on, but also
- the school's SSID,
- what type it is and
- if it is protected plus
- you will be given the option to connect to it
and that makes it faster to connect to the school wireless network
