A successful hotel manager as well as any manager for that matter needs to be a jack of all trades. The hotel manager must be a people person with the ability to solve many situations that come up daily within the hotel such as total customer satifaction, knowing everything that is going on at any given time, late check-outs, early check-ins, clean rooms, rate discount for seniors, hotel preferred customers, AAA members and many more. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance. If the hotel offers room service that the food arrives on time and exactly what the customer ordered. The hotel manager must oversee all of these departments and while keeping the customer happy must also keep his employees happy to maintain a happy and efficient environment for all.
