Presumably, it is using its other six legs to stand.
No they have two fangs in the front. If you handle a tarantula stay away from approaching them straight on. If they stand on the back legs with the front legs ups they are getting ready to attack. They do this so the fangs come out.
no
Unlike a spider, a tarantula has 10 legs. 8 normal ones and 2 smaller front legs.I believe a Turantula has 8 legs, just like all other spiders. Unless they lose a leg.

Tarantula's are Spiders, and Spiders are Arachnids. Arachnids have 8 legs, Insects have 6 legs. Spiders have 8 legs so there for a Tarantula is a Spider.
That is correct. A tarantula is an invertebrate, meaning it has no backbone and has an exoskeleton, meaning the support system for its body is on the outside of its body. The legs are jointed - a characteristic of an arthropod.
The Mexican redknee is a tarantula and classed as an arachnid, and as such has eight legs.
